Winter for port augusta kings, they go up there to the powerhouse and breed in and around the hot water outlet (warm water) and in the summer, point lowly (near whyalla) is the go! As the water up in augusta is to hot

haha nah mate! Dad always chooses to use handlines over there, because we drift, and then his always got direct pressure on the line. 80lb braid, we dont muck about! lol.. Ive used my rod over there, last time i did that, it came home in two 3 pieces! lol

I attended a boat lisence course last night, passed!But the guy did mention if you dont have your lisence, aswel as renewing it everyyear, you also have to do a practical assessment for a full lisence

Good idea! Tried it yesterday when me and the old man headed out. Hadnt seen a shark in a while out on the sea but we stil gave it a crack.. Musta jnxed us as we had a 9 foot hammerhead come for a lookCheers

There are bouys at the local tackle shop that have a ring cut around the bouy, which u load up with line and a snapper lead.. Once the lead is at the bottom, the line stops coming off the bouy and theres no overrun. Good idea for sure!

My dads biggest is around 60 cm. But my uncle has caught one at around 65cm on the same boat at the same time. Have seen KG Whiting caught +70cm though on a few occasions.

Cuttlies are gun! never use anything else if cuttlies are in the boat.Followed by tommies, never used live baits as i havnt needed to.
