  1. Not sure if it would handle heavy weights for bottom bashing, but have a look at the older Saltist range of rods Salisbury Tackle still have a few and in that price range too.I have the 15lb and the 20lb sticks and they are way under rated.Have used them on quite a few deep water charters and they are absolutely beautiful sticks, will not dissapointReason for me buying one was i was out on a charter around wedge and neptunes and this guy had the 20lb version and slayed most things he hookedGo have a look ;)

  2. Well boys was out in the port on Sunday with my 2 boys, i guess i wasn't suppose to go out after the comedy of errors from then on in..... Firstly forgot my 798, then couldn't get this new 30hp johnno to start??? Finally got it to start and followed my bro around to speedboat club to which found the motor would cough and splutter under full throttle. WTF Anyhow finally got it upto 40km and crossed my bro's wake when the motor decided to kick back behind me (tiller steer) and proceed to throw me into a 180 at 40km hour... We all got flung from one side to the other and nearly tipped it, my heart was pounding yet the kids thought it was great. lol Any how got to the Quarantine to try get the kids onto some ST's when the little swell that it was caught me by suprise, loosing my balance and trying not to land on my "precious" rods i stacked in dislocating my shoulder :( Popped it back in with a few "F" words and silly me picked a rod up and went to cast, popping it out again :0 Ended up sitting down drifting around feeling not good (lucky my boys were there to help me out, gotta love'em). My eldest learnt how to start an outboard :) Lucky my bro was there to help put boat back on trailer and i somehow managed to drive home.. Still not sure how i did it Well went to the hospital and after numerous X-rays and a CT scan have now found out that the force of the dislocation and impact has broken some of the bone off the socket in my shoulder and the orthapedic surgeon has never seen a break like it before so now have to wait and see whether they can operate or whether they leave it to heal by itself... Either way it will be in a sling for 6-8 weeks.. All this to get some ST's and hook an eagle ray to show the boys One day that i should have just stayed at home :(:(:(

  3. I think ther rope you are reffering to is Nylon rope which is a hell of alot softer than Silver rope and 10 times better on ya hands ;)We have both in stock as anchor ropes and sell more Nylon as it does not tangle as much as Silver rope can.And one other thing strength wise 8mm Nylon is equivilent to 14mm SilverJust a thoughtCheers

  4. I agree with Piranha. If some of these local shops advertised how much mark-up was on some products we would be horrified. I know for a fact 250% on some clothing items I looked at. If the wholesaler can import and distribute these items (and make a profit)for a price' date=' say $30 why should they charge $90 in store???I know this was one example but it just goes to show the world is changing and old business practices need reviewing thanks to the www.[/quote']Hahaha you've got to be kidding me...Obviously you've never worked in a "Australian" retail outlet. Its people like you we are talking aboutAs for 250% mark up, in the 16yrs i've been in retail you'd be lucky to put that on a $2 squid jag Best you just keep supporting WWW so we can focus on genuine buyers ;)
  5. Bloody beautiful :woohoo: Too many people out there calling themselves Aussies and not supporting their home turf.Working in the marine industry i see so many sounder/GPS units come in for warranty that have not been bought in Aus and it gives me so much pleasure to shrug them off and tell them to send it back to where they bought it from..Spend a week in the store learning how to use/work the unit then never see them again until they have a problem with the unit they've purchased overseas

  6. Try not to hold poor nemo with your fingers in his gills thanx as this could cause long term damage to the poor little fella. :P
