im with u matt great fish none the less kat congratulations must have been fat. i got 1 up port 2 yr ago that was 115cm and went 14 kg and finally broke 20 kg even not that long ago that went 135 cm.like i said tho great effort mate a job well done

7.1 kg aboard whynot last july ended up with 3 for the trip a 7 a 5 n let the last one go which was around 3 and my vary first one which i got at scales wit whyalla brand of a mere 1.656 kg lol

it is true that the internet is avoidable theses days but plain and simple. dnt come crying when shops close and u have to wait 4 days for a packet of hooks to that you bought online to come.plain and simple IF U DONT ASK U WILL NOT KNOW !!!!!

was bout my third time round playin with big snapper on 1kg had a 1000 stradic spooled right up got blitzed in about 25 seconds was a good laugh but we started using 2 to 3 spools of 1kg at a time had one snapper take almost 2 spools out got it back and it went 8.8 my pb for 1as for sharks only ever lost about maybe 70 to 80 mters at 1 time

gday lads my biggest is only a baby but pritty sure ive drop some better ones on there way up to the surface got this one of scales bay in 07 went 1.6 kg

hey bream basher i memba the day u got that squid aye frigin sperm whales would leave that mother alone. how frigin messy was the thing and how i thought i was seein things wen the tube was mesured definatly a squidding session i will never forget and somthin that will stick in my mind to try and catch we so have to go back to that spot agin great. squid mate and like i have said before and the day wen u caught it bloody well doe brocheers p.s just for everyone i witnessed the tube being mesured and can varify that it is correct info

:icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek: this one is crazythe way i see it is that this wouldnt be the only shark that has washed up after being caught and released and ol mate has done everything he could to release the buety so im puttin my wats worth in to say the shark was just unlucky.and im not sayin i dnt care the shark.. i no the feelin of what ol mate wouldve gone through. i spent about 15 mins wit my 8 footer at scotss beach but it swam away stronglyis there any possibilty if the fish was pregnant that it could have a higher stress level and take longer to kick start upon releaseinteresting
