  1. Cheers dudes you may see me thrashing the water to foam soon ;D . Recon me Barra flys should be ok have Clousers, Blacken barreds, Pink Things on hooks ranging from size 1's upto 4/0's and heaps of others have a few epoxy shrimps I tied myself recon they should get some interest. Have to drop my tippet down A LOT Will hopefully start bagin a few fish see what this damn wind does.
  2. Yo South Ozz Fly fishers. I have an 8/9wt Penn International Rod couple with reel, I have floating line and a spool of intermidate. Just wondering is this to much rod for the onk chasing the odd mullie. Do any of you guys go surf side? Have a ton of Barra style flies would these be suitable for chasing mullies and sambos. Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated.Kind Regards1fish
  3. Way to go lads ;D . Started both mine off at that age they are now 10 and 8 and they love it. Beats sitting in front idiot box any day. The bond, the joy and the memories you get from takin em fishin is priceless. Good stuff
  4. Left mine in Darwin with a mate were it belongs. Speaking of illegal activity was at Sullies boat ramp the other arvo with Mrs 1fish, there was a group of people there wont specify race but they were collecting all the snails and winkles off the rocks is it illegal ???

  7. Cheers Kelvin ;D Just like how I used to do me Barra fillets except it was 1 fillet 1 feed for four. Was just curious as some fish don't freeze well at all Thread Fin salmon are one.
  8. Guru'sQuick question do Yellowfin whiting fillets freeze ok? or do they go all soggy when defrosted?
  9. Can always buy a 50 cent pair of thin leather gardening gloves and redo your drag washers, run a wet drag. The old abu will have a shimano smooth drag!!! works a treat. Or send me a pm and come down to Old noarlunga and I'll fix it for yah.

  11. G'day Fred,How about makin up a nice fish laksa or curry. You can get the laksa paste/base from woolies or coles topped off with some freshly choped corriander ummmmm!!
  12. This is my biggets shore based mungi 112cm from Buffalo creek boat ramp. This girl was taken on a bills bug fizzer.
