My best catches of landbased gar and tommies have been overnight off the jetties. Same with snook.Porties is good for salmon after a storm. Dirty water also brings the KGW and flatties on the bite and within reach of landbased jetty anglers. I have caught a few KGW right off the end of Brighton after a blow. I have also heard of a few snapper caught after a storm off there as well But be prepared to fish between 8pm and 4am

G"day Sykes ,its just not a matter of getting handed out spots, there are Mulloway right on Adelaides doorstep in the Port river/Outer harbour area ,the onk and southern metro beaches. The key is putting in a bit of time, keeping your ear to the ground and working out tide times , time of day ect for the spots. And in regards to kingies, big jump from Tommies ,Whiting ect...top quality gear, hooks swivels, line, rods reels, a strong attitude to put in time, travel, ect is needed to catch these. Not trying to put you off at all, but put a big line out anywhere is a starting point, then after a bit of time, trial and trying different spots the results will come and once they do,you will work more and more out as you go.Cheers

Woke up early this morning to fish Ardrossan Jetty. Water was rough and fast winds. lots of weed in the water. Few crabs around stealing bait, all under size however.about 45 minutes after high tide, couple of nice Mullet, and a dozen tommies. Good end to a disappointing start
