red_devil94 4 Posted April 7, 2012 Report Share Posted April 7, 2012 Hi all,I will be heading up to Point Turton in a few weeks for 3 days, and I need to replace the line on a light-medium 6,6" rod. I will be primarily using this rod from the jetty to target Whiting or mullet, and at other times Bream, (not at Turton obviously)I don't know if lately I've just been very unlucky, but I've spent more time undoing tangles than fishing, so I was wondering if there is a particular type of line that is very good for not getting kinks and tangles in it, or whether I just stick to plain old mono? Ranger 48 Posted April 7, 2012 Report Share Posted April 7, 2012 They haven't made that braid yet.All light braid will get wind knots occasionally. The way to minimise this is to ensure it's tightly spooled on a braid friendly reel, and to retension it at regular intervals by winding it back in under pressure between your fingers. red_devil94 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
