King prawn 9
Hi guys Has anyone heard of any YFW starting to appear along our beaches ? (Apart from des the master !) thinking of heading to Tennyson on the weekend for some fresh worms on the low tide and then fish the incoming or head out to port gawler! Any ideas ? Ale 301
The metro shoreline is milkshake brown and I dare say too cold. Sure, dig ya worms local, but best bet would be checking Des's postabout water temps, and head north to the flats.Might even jag some little bronzees wading the shallows.Good luck and be sure to come back to post ya report! Des 818
Tried Pt Gawler this evening. Not a YFW around for all 3 fishers. Only spotted a couple of feeding marks in the whole area. So nothing came in.However before this cold spell there were a few on the 23/09 So after a couple of days of mid 20s temp they will be back. Try on Sunday - Monday evening tide, at Pt Gawler.Metro proper, it will take a few more weeks of mid to high 20s temp to push them further south.Cheers, DesPS. Still further North Savagelip and King prawn
King prawn 9
Thanks for the input guys. How much further north do you think des Dublin .parham .Wakefield ?
Des 818
Dublin - Pt. Prime area would be the best bet. However they are on the move. It is just the cold spell that we have just had, has held them back. Sunday or Monday evening tides after a couple of warmer days should bring a few into the Middle Beach - Pt. Gawler area.Cheers, Des
Bishy 1
I'm a real novice when it comes to fishing for YFW and was looking at heading to middle beach in a few weeks to have a fish with the lad.I have never fished this area before and was wondering do you stay by the boat ramp or do you have to walk in with the tide etc....
