Dylbaa 174
G'day all, just wondering if anyone has had any trouble with the sensor surf range from daiwa regarding the reel seat allowing movement of the reel from side to side? I've tried three different reels and same result? Although none of the reels I tried were daiwa... Any help would be appreciated, cheers
Raider 19
I haven't had an issue with mine mate
Dylbaa 174
Can I ask What reel you are running with yours Raider?
plankton 725
No issues with mine, but it's an overhead model, so slightly different reel seat. Are they still using Fuji reel seats or have they changed to a cheaper version?
Dylbaa 174
They are still Fuji components on them, had another look after work, it seems I can eliminate this if I wrench it up really really tight! But unsure if I'm meant to be doing it up so tight as it might wear the thread I reckon :/
Cal 480
G"day dylbaa,I have in the past had similar probs with various rods,an easy fix is wrap electrical tape around the reel foot until you get a snug fit ,doesnt take much ,a few wraps at most normally suffices.Works a treat. storm boy, reelfun and Dylbaa
Dylbaa 174
Cheers for that cal! Was wondering if that'd work, I'll definately give that a crack Dylbaa
Raider 19
I am currently running a 950 slammer on it, not an ideal combo choice but I do plan on getting a new reel for the sensor and a big wilson for the slammer.
storm boy 17
Cal has the right idea, another option is to place a little heatshrink on the reel foot ends. Cheers! SB
ASD14 197
ive got a daiwa emblem surf 5500 on mine and its fine mate! but as the others have said, waterproofing tape, electrical tape etc will all do the same thing.
