Kelvin 2,200
I was there about 10 years ago for 3 weeks for uni. Heaps of ST by the boat ramp. Plenty of gar around but mostly small. Few small tommies. Heaps of trumpeter, lots of KGW but mostly undersized. Heard of rat kings but didn't see any. Got a big eagle ray on a bottom bait. Scissors 308
It is pretty average, if you go for a little drive you can get to a few spots that hold a few fish. You will probably get Tommies and Garfish if you berley up off the wharf....a rat kingy will come through evenutally. The tackle shop there is pretty good, they will know what the go is. Wading da flats 17
I would head down to the shacks and hit the shallows for flat head and yellowfin whiting go at low tide and rake for some crabs. You will get sweet fa at the wharf or train bridge unless a school of kingies is up there . The shacks are the only place I'd try LB .. I grew up there and still head to see the folks as they live at the shack and always get a feed of yellowfin Brooker4.1 and Poppa Snake
Brankim 945
Saw a fishing show ages ago with guys catching good size kings in the canals, either from the power station or near on big hardboddies in knee-waist deep water. Always wanted to go try one day, not sure if it's still publicly accessible though.... Not sure what time of the year either, but they were making it look easy!! Wading da flats 17
Kingies are there all year round brankim but a rule of thumb I was taught by an old pro is the big boys fire when the almond trees begin to blossom! Brankim and Brooker4.1
