snapper_hunter 28 Posted May 1, 2015 Report Share Posted May 1, 2015 Hi All How do you set up a rig for trawling for snook, how far from the paravane do you have the lure? how far from the boat once you start trawling should the paravane be and what speed do you drive at? Scissors 308 Posted May 1, 2015 Report Share Posted May 1, 2015 It doesn't matter at the moment, they are thick everywhere over weed, in front of the island in about 4m water Ditch that white lure you get with the kit, a metal with either a red or green strip on it is best. hoopsy 697 Posted May 1, 2015 Report Share Posted May 1, 2015 most shops have them pre-set its been awhile but as scissors said about 20-30m behind the boat change ur troll speed from 4-8knotts..swing ur arms back and forth too work the lure..some times u wont even know theres 1 on there but when the paravain pops up theres either a fish or weed on it snapper_hunter 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

What I need to know is how much line should there between the paravane to the lure, I have my own paravane and lure ( came with the boat ) I need to tie the line on the paravane then tie the lure on so how much line is needed .
