Kingsley 19
hook in the bum then thread it through the tail to just below the head, they will stay alive long enough.

Ranger 48
Another method is to slip the point of the hook in on the shrimps dorsal surface, right where the body meets the head carapace, with the point of the hook facing towards the head. You'll find that the body isn't joined to the head, and the hook will slide in the gap there, then ya just bring the point up through the head carapace itself. It doesn't pierce the flesh of the critter at all, only the shell, and the thing will last forever pinned this way! rocket102 0
try putting the hook throught the very tip of the tail so they can flip around on the hook. We use to fish for callop like this in the Darling works well but the bait dosnt last long if you dont hook the fish.rocket
Kelvin 2,200
Through the head, just behind the eyes. If you are careful you can hook them just through the shell near the pointy bit. Rigged this was, the fish can't suck the heads and most bites result in a hookup.Rigged a bit too low and you are left with a dead shrimp.
