plastics at night

hi allgoing after mullys and bream at night just wondered if soft plastics are any good at night or should i just stick to hbs will be fishing the onk.cheers matty89

Have caught mullies on plastics at night, so they definitely work but dunno about bream.

Of course it's difficult to cast accurately and watch your line at night, but it can be done! White or even black are effective colours at night.

Would putting some form of stimulant on it help more at night?

The amount of bream i've caught on S/Ps at night i could count on 2 hands but if you find the secret let me know. cheers brenton

fish gulp haha other than that ive had little luck with plastics at night on bream. vibes are generally a better option

Fishin plastics at night can be deadly on the bream. Its all about feel and keeping in direct contact with your lure under the cover of darkness as the hits also tend to be alot softer. Try plastics with plenty of inbuilt action like squidgy fish, wrigglers or gulp turtle back worms allowing your lures to sit on the bottom a bit longer as well. the biggest port river bream ive ever seen landed was caught landbased at about 11pm on a no.2 squidgy wriggler, from memory it went about 47-48cm fork length. Also cant see why adding scent wouldnt help in the dark either. This also works on the mullies too. Hope that helps mate. Ben

try the smaller slick rigs also, heard they go alright with the mullies
