yooks 0
hi everyone, does any one have a receipe for mullet mix ? is this still the best bait for mullet and acceptable to use ? cheers
Dubs The Tackle Man 0
As far as I know it's still legal to use. Mince, Bread Crumbs, Curry Powder and some Aniseed does the job
brenton 637
Mince, pilchard, breadcrumbs, tuna oil.Mullet mix should readily fall off the hooks and out of the spring and every cast and slow retrieve(with a few small rips) should only last 1 minute then rebait and repeat. cheers brenton

archerfish 685
Have found that a very coarse kangaroo mince seems to work better than beef mince, and you can thread your hook through some of the larger bits of meat...Cheersarcherfish
tonyb 1,017
ANY sort of mince meat, semolina powder as a stiffening agent, liberal sprinkling of any curry powder and don't forget the tiny 3to4mm bits of cubed up chicken breast meat as hook bait Fails me never

Low grade roo mince and curry powder. If you want you can chuck some aniseed in there as well but it doesnt make a whole lot of difference if your burleying with it anyway.Cheap roo mince has heaps of gristle, holds on your hook better and mullet go boonta over it. Just buy a kilo, work a heap of curry powder through it till it looses its moistness and then seperate into palm sized portions. Whack each in a glad bag or similar and freeze individually. Usually will get 2 hours per person out of one of these bags when they are on.
