They look killer for the flats

Went use to dye our own too. Some colours worked better than others. Red was especially good. I've even dyed my worms and tommies loved the red ones.

Leader keeps tangling with feeder float when casting.

Cracking idea, would save many tangles, definitely gonna try this out with most floats from now on. -

So you're meaning away from the traditional float setup to float right at the end of leader and hooks between float and main line. main line > swivel > leader with hook(s) > float Interesting, and I can see that working to stop tangles. The only thing I'm thinking, is the main line swivel and hooks would create a bit of curve (sort of like a U shape but not as much) and wondering if that would cause any issues - though possibly not as the main line would be a little taut to the rod. Probably find the swivel after float is waving off to the side not inline?? -

This is the tried and tested technique for the rig you're using. It will take some time to get use to it and how much tension to feather with. I might suggest get rid of the split shots or reduce the number needed, the bait flowing in the current is the proper presentation. The line Your mono "float side line" is too long or too thick. Maybe even try A shorter length of QUALITY heavier line then swivel. I use a 6lb fluro trace, 12-20!!LB for the float line, tiny clip style swivel( smallest I've got at the time ) . Hope it helps even pop a photo up if ya want. -
Land based snapper - Pulley rigs and rock crabs
Hobbo_510 replied to Luke5600's topic in Bait & Tackle
What you want is a clip down pulley rig with a rotten bottom setup so sinkers can break off without loosing the whole rig. The clip down system makes the sinker and bait one single mass at the end of your line, so no helicoptering baits which means limited entanglements and better casting distance. For my clip down pulley rigs I stay away from the impact shields as I find them too fiddly. I prefer to use a Breakaway Imp clip or my new favourite the Gemini rig clip. For the rotten bottom setup you can use special clips designed to fail, but I prefer to use a second Gemini rig clip and a -
There are areas that have been declared a sanctuary zone(no take zones) for molluscs, invertebrate and other critters, but there are still areas where you can get them.

I've had plenty of luck catching YFW on worms preserved in metho, just a quick dip and pat dry then pack em and freeze em good for the next session. Had a mate with smashing them too on preserved blood worms. They can be picky some days and do prefer live and fresh.

The council and residents can take other actions other than the stated. Such as law enforcement like everybody else in the country. Fishos aren't just to blame, but maybe the drunkards from the local waltzing past and other would be no gooders. My spots are within 100-200mtrs of residents and Mulloway fishing is best at the times of 10pm to 6am. Would you ring the local law enforcement on the Star watching club, if they weren't above the dB limits.

Heres the update from SART WEST LAKES CLOSURE IMMANENT! After more investigation today SART has discovered that the new lake closures have already been added to by law no. 3 of 2014 DRAFT upon the request of council members. THESE ARE VERY LIKELY TO GET PASSED BY A MAJORITY VOTE AT THE NEXT COINCIL MEETING UNLESS WE ALL REQUEST AND COMPLETE A FORM AND ARE PREPARED TO TALK INFRONT OF COUNCIL AS TO WHY THESE BY LAWS ARE SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE. public consultation via a sign was minimal at best and peoples emails and calls are likely to not have much weight when it comes to influencing the f
