On Yorkes I use size 4 for YFW & they catch other species as well, even small stuff. I put the point of the hook in at the base of the underside of the tail and thread them down the hook & come out in the head. This also serves to help keep the body on better. Hope this is helpful
  2. Try this one. It has plenty of info. https://tides4fishing.com/au/south-australia/adelaide-outer-harbour
  3. One of the big ones, usually pretty good on past experiences
  4. Clear line. I use the same knot tied to a Mustad Fastach Clip
  5. That's an even better idea. Trying to tie knots with light line with my sausage fingers drives me nuts
  6. Cheers, I can tie that one, wasn't sure about its strength though
  7. Hi all, Recently purchased a new lightweight spin combo & on advice from the sales guy, have loaded it with 4lb mono. Ill be flicking plastics mostly. I am going to use a 6lb mono leader but dont know which knot to use. The sales guy said i should use a FG knot but I cant get my head or fingers around it. As the terminal guides are quite small the knot needs to be quite slender. Some advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
  8. I got to the footbridge no trouble at all. Report to come
  9. When the kids were little we used to head to Normanville & stay at the jetty Caravan Park, either camping or in a cabin. We always had a great time. The beaches from Normy to Carrackalinga are great for kids & dogs. You can beach fish from Lady Bay all the way to Carry, Second Valley Jetty is not far away & neither are the rocks at Myponga Beach. The cafe at Normy Jetty has recently changed hands & is apparently great & Yankallila Bakery is famous for its goods. I think it is a better spot than Victor, less crowded & less commercial. Cheers
