  2. With you on this one Panga but would definitely start with a cull on the seals first they are getting out of control and will be only a matter of time before there is a attack in the gulf God forbid. But as with all governments nothing will done until something goes pear shaped
  3. Cheers Brenton Yes would of loved to take it out but it's a big tree bout 10 years fire wood I reckon might need a few sticks of TNT to break it down a bit though lol.
  4. The dam is fully fenced and is only grazed in the spring to keep the grass down for summer as we spend plenty of time relaxing down there. The dam was around 4mt deep and now around 7-8 mts the dam has only just been dug out and is still empty. I was wondering whether to maybe look at planting it with some plants to provide habitat for insects and whether or not to put in any snags/ structure for the fish. Cheers WILDA
  5. Hi all, Now this is a bit out there and no I not going to ask for a spot to fish but any help tips on setting up a dam for trout. I had one shot at it but due to lack of rain in the last few years it has dried up. Where I live we have no mains supply so it's our garden and stock water. So I am after any tips or ideas for setting it up again if and when we get some more rain
  6. Hi ljackway I have a raider travel rod that I use for my travel trips. I have the snapper spin 703 which is 5-8 kgs and 7'long,it's 3 piece in its case it measures 780mm. I used it on LHI last year where we backpack around to lb spots can really recommend them. Now it lives behind the seat in the ute just in case

  8. G'day all, So I have been working flat out on night shift for 6 weeks 6 days a week and the boss has been generous to give me 2 nights of this week ( yeah yeah). So I'm thinking of either Second Valley / Rapid Bay or pt Hughes on Tuesday or Wednesday night any ideas or suggestion Cheers WILDA
  9. Hi mainly topside but also bits of rump etc that are left over from slicing up steak. Just pop them in the freezer to harden them up abit before slicing.l normally like mine about 4-5mm thick before smoking

  12. G'day my father in law taught me and have ever only used a over sized salt shacker with budget cooking salt sprinkled on just before loading into the smoker mmmm smoked spare ribs chicken wings and natural skin sausages.......
