  1. Yeah if you dropped a marble on my floor. It would look like it was possessed by the devil as it rolled it’s way around the room, before charging at the wall.
  2. If I’d remembered how uneven the floor was in that room things could have gone a lot smoother:o
  3. Thought I may aswell grab the cabinet aswell - too easy
  4. You bewdy it’s still there look like my nightly exercise is taken care of
  5. As you might be aware - I use it to tie up flies or anything else that needed binding
  6. Taking care of business and working over time. I do my wood working on my breaks so If a job can’t be done in 15 mins, it’s going to take a few breaks Took an early lunch to get the dry fit and flat packing done. The last piece of the puzzle, that inspired the table, is on a junk pile I saw on the way to work. Fingers crossed it’s still there on the way home
  7. Accidentally got to work 20 mins early........so I did what anyone would do - started making a table
  8. Nothing to new here but if you want a temporary adjust screw - heat shrink and hot glue are the answer
  9. the boogeyman checks his closet every night to make sure I’m not in there
  10. Yeah I’ve done that with sunnies- good tip
  11. Just found the foil on milk powder is the most durable in my pantry
  12. Yeah I was using some bulky foam ones last night and they were too short and kept getting in the way. So it was back to the old favourite. i considered a making them a bit longer and adding a cable tie toggle so I could lengthen and shorten the loop, But I know from previous experience what my ideal length is
  13. Less bulky than the store bought versions
  14. Looks like a "slim beauty" - I havent seen anyone do that cool twisting motion to form the wraps before. It's a bit of a chunky knot due to the half granny knot in the mono - I remember it was all the rage with Barra fisherman before the FG came on the scene
  15. Yeah we used to fish a beach about 3km long with about 6 distinct gutters on it - It was a long walk in through the dunes before even getting to the beach. Sending up a drone might have taken some of the mystery out of the exercise - but it also might have saved some long fruitless walks through soft sand
  16. https://www.abc.net.au/news/rural/2017-10-16/drone-adds-modern-twist-for-150-year-eden-fishing-family/9052964
  17. Quality stuff Captain I remember my old man telling me about spotter planes the Beach netters used to use to find big school of Salmon close to shore. Those drones would be perfect for scanning gutters. Some Dodgy pro operators up in NSW are already using them to Target "By-catch" In the hands of a responsible rec angler they could be a very handy tool to increase catches
