Adelaide anglers could soon share the bream dream, if Holdfast Bay councillor Tim Looker has his way.Mr Looker has asked the council to consider putting fingerlings of black bream into the Patawalonga."Why not fill our estuary up and get people down here fishing?" he said. "The black bream was my suggestion because they don't swim out to sea again. It's a fish that remains in the area and feeds and grows, and is a good eating fish, and is a native fish."The council has agreed to inv

    Bag Limits

well it will start full.. and we will do our best to empty it to fill it back up with fish..Shane, i have to agree with recreational fishing limits being really no effect compared to the pro's.we take what we can eat and we catch by hand... we dont RAPE the sea of everything that is caught by nets etc with out morals.once again Australia will do whats right.. and japan will take what they like.its all research...

yeah our trip next weekend will be primarily to fill the esky. as we wont often get the chance to get away for a snapper weekend. so yes we will be meet fisherman for the weekend. but as we eat a lot of seafood it certainly wont be wasted!!!!im hoping we catch enough to start catch and release fishing!!!

agreed mate. i dont go crabbing.. but when you see people coming back from places.. and they have nets for everyone i their family.. and are taking EVERYTHING they can take... it disgusts me. a 5yr odl kid been given an allocation of 40 crabs when he will be lucky to eat 2-3 crabs in a session..a lot of things in the fishing world really need to be looked into..and better policing of the current rules and limits!!!

  7. no worries Mick, where do you source your block ice from??as i have resorted to these ice sheets due to not being able to find block ice!
  8. VB, it might be good luck to fill it.. but they are dam fun to empty
  9. Mick, ill have some of the 2 ply sheets avail i think... if your after a few extras..as a work mate just gave me 13 medical grade ice sheets. heavy duty plastic covered sponge/gel sheets. they apparently use these to ship medical supply's interstate/overseas.
  10. well i bid on some last night on ebay.. only the 2 ply sheets.. ended up winning 72 sheets for 83$.. bid in 5 different auctions.. won 3 auctions from $10-$46 so a fair spread in the values. ive got some heavy duty plastic bags at work that ill encase a few sheets in to add as an outter layer.. and it should also keep fishyness off them.. looks like im trying them out next weekend!
  11. Mick.. the green 92 ive got.. serves as THE BEST BEER ESKY EVER!!!!for all my bbqs.. 2-3 slabs in it and plenty of room for food.
  12. camp where jimmy was fishing last time. or close to it. in one of the park areas. and work our way along those rocks. or stay in the one area.
  13. hmm 92 litre esky.. requires at least 13 sheets.. could get expensive.. as need another 6 or for other esky thats a min of 20 sheets.. hmmmmmm on second thoughts.. might try some Ebay sales.. looks like using ice for this trip!
  14. and checking on www.akff.net.. had HEAPS of people using it for fish storage. so... i guess i shall also be able to give it a BEER keeping review later..now off to ebay to check out possibles...

  17. lol just re read my post.. sounds kinda pushy... dam that del bastard... Anyone who has fished with me and softy.. knows we enjoy a cold one hehehehhe basically trying to replace the ice in the big 92 litre esky with these packs so we can store fish in there too with out it getting sloppy wet in there. but it must KEEP TEH BEER ICE COLD!!!
  18. so... the ICE PACKS... any first hand experiences?? it sounds like it will keep the meat esky cold enough..but will it keep the BEER cold enough?? as want to replace the ICE in the beer esky with these so we can also use it for fish storage for our weekend camping/snapper trip coming up.
