  1. Well done mate!Good to see you had enough 2lb left on your reel
  2. Mostly action- depends on if you are vertically jigging (tea bagging) or horizontally retrieving the blade/vibe. My post was mostly directed at blades and reading back I see you were asking about vibes..... some of the vibes (more like hardbodies) are slightly different and most have one tow point, so sorry to get confuddled. :S Although blades are vibe style lures..... anyway  My fave vibes are bassday Kangoku and Cranka vibes.
  3. Hi allall the talk at the moment is the success people are having with Vibes. All my lure fishing is with SP's and the odd HB. Wish to have a crack at throwing some of these and need some general advice.Firstly all my lure fishing is at the Onk and Pat, so my general questions are ?1/ general Vibe recomendations ?Most vibes work OK, I like Ecogear VX and ZX and TT Ghost Blade (poly carb) or Switchblade2/ Technique as apposed to what i am used to with SP'sCan be fished very similarly to plastics- change it up: double hops with longish rod lifts then left to settle/pause, quick rips then pause
  4. No worries I am gonna get some too: makes rod locker storage soooo much easier
  5. I have had success with whiting and even gar! on ecogear PX45F and rebel Pop-R's in the smaller size. these are two of the most popular and successful top water baits for whiting. Great spots to try are where tidal creek drain onto flats- the whiting school here and grab food draining out of creeks so are really switched on to grabbing floating prey. great fun!this one came on a px45:
  6. Great vid mate, always enjoy reading (and watching) your posts! Those guys can get pretty thick up in that part of the onk, its funny when you lob out a bream lure and land it on a big mullet- scares the crap outta them
  7. Fantastic video- really enjoyed it! Looks like you guys had a great session. I have finally started walking again, three months after my freshwater fishing incident, so i can't wait to get out there and get some more trout
  8. All OK to order mate! Rob is in adelaide and shipping daily, just spoke to him Also, if you sent an email via a 'free' provider it may well have been sent to spam. Rob always replies quick smart to any enquiries.Cheers
  9. Great schoolie! btw your signature pics are HUUUUGE dude- they take up about three full screens on my lappy. You might want to resize them a little mate, just to make reading the forum easier. cheers!
  10. Ha ha ha ha ha, quicker than I was expecting- awesome moderating ranger!
  11. and to see the real answer check his profile- the posts aren't censored there
  12. statesquider- do you live nearby? might see ya one day down there!
  13. I have 'lived' in that gorge for 34 years (spent most my childhood down there). there are a few tracks that would be ok for two people an a yak on a trolley, if you dont mind a walk. I used to get trout and gudgeons regularly- I actually prefered it before they flooded behind the dam- some of my old spots are now 5 metres or more under water...
  14. Do you fish the northern or southern side? I dont find too much rubbish in my spot. I do see a bit of line hanging from the trees ha ha ha
  15. mylureshop.com are based in SA. They stock both Tung Fu sticky tungsten putty that can be re-used, and also have Pontoon 21 Suspend Dots in various sizes. I had a look at the Suspend dots at the recent SABT and I am gonna have a play with some of these soon.
