  1. I was also Salmon Chasing off the cliffs this day.Awesome sight.Fished salmon for 30 years from here to Rottnest Island WA.First time ive seen this too. They were only cruising but man they were hard to keep up with over those rocks.
  2. Gday Bigmac, havent fished Port Headland in a long time.Back in the day landbased we would catch GTs Queenies,Macks etc from the jetty. Also fished just offshore for some nice Black Jewies as well.Making the trip back over myself soon to visit my brother in Exmouth. The Ningaloo area is some of the best fishing going but Port Headland should turn on some nice fish for you.
  3. Good work there Millsy and Krusty. One of lifes great pleasures, fishing for barra.
  4. I think that fishing comps should be left in the capable hands of FISHERMEN.
  5. Ive just heard on the radio(8 40am)that they are now opening up the other half of the designated area.Great news now that i and many other people had to leave.Very disappointing to see how poorly Triple M have run this, such amateurs. This was such a good idea, but i didnt count on the stupidity of the organizers.
  6. Would have loved to wet a line, but no hope.Im sitting at home listening to triple m saying come on down.Laughable.Its going to be a long day down there
  7. What a joke this has turned out to be.Rolled up this morning at 6am to find that they have now halved the fishing area with no explanation.Tried to find out why but none of the officials were forthcoming. For the life of me ,i cant understand that with all the complaints about trying to fit that many anglers into such a small area, that at the last moment you would halve the fishing area.I cant believe that with all the dramas over this comp that they would create more.On top of this there were people holding large areas of foreshore for mates and once again complaints fell on deaf ears. The now
  8. I think its pretty logical for Snapper to go into the Port.Protected and plenty of food.As Jack said the ST run earlier in the season was huge and i felt that this was the reason for the many Snapper catches. The fish are slowing down now and so are the STs.I still agree that crabs are one of the best baits for snapper, but most of the fish i caught were eating the STs.I think people are underestimating how many fish were caught this year.I know of so many being caught and from the most obscure places.I cant say where for fear of losing another spot x to crowds of aspiring Snapper fishos but its
  9. I,m an old school fisho that grew up with Penns. These liveliners are very under rated and value for money cant be beaten.bought my 560 there a couple months back for $79.Also have a couple of 760 models and theyve been bulletproof as has every other Penn ive owned, been using them for 25 years and never had to repair one.
  10. Top work there fellas and nice vid.Looks like fun off the beach.
  11. Top fish azza.As a sandgroper its a top fish even by WA standards.I miss catching these fish, great sportfish.
