On the metals I have 6/0 and 5/0 I am thinking about a size 4 or 6 for the smaller blades. Purchased some 10s but they are tiny

I find trebles to be a pain in the bum. Have already converted all my metal lures bar to to single hooks. Will convert some of my blades as well soon.

Hey Pescados.I have been using a knot called the slim beauty which seems to run through the guides quite well I think the majority use a double uni to uni knot though.See if you can get your hands on geoff wilsons book of fishing knots and rigs it is brilliant.Cheers VB4me

I didnt realise how hard it was to narrow favourite moments down to just a few :ohmy: .Best I can do is Being shown how to yabby as a kid by my uncle and the inevitable garlic yabby cook up at the end.Catching my first snapper with my bro in law Scaley Tom.Seeing Snappermania beat my pb rock snapper with him doin all the work.And also watchin SandyWhiting catch her 1st large snapper from a boat. Just tryin to calm her down enough to bring the fish in was a challenge on its own

Havent been up that far AFF but I would rather be doin my own thing apart from bein told you have to be here and leave there at whatever time. Packages are definitely cheaper but freedom is what us fishers enjoy the most ( just something to tell the misses )Good luck and enjoy

Out of curiousity David do you find that particular model of yo zuri works better than others? So far Ive had more luck out of cheapies rather than the name brands I have bought. Although I havent got squid or cuttly for a while now.

Would that be the case if fisheries declared a certain time frame for when it was legal. Sort of like the snapper ban but in reverse. Pretty sure thats what it was in Qld. There was only a month or so where it was legal to target prawns.

Used to use them for bait collection on the GC but they can be misused very easily. Lot of by catch. Prawners used them regularly. Very efficient way of catching prawns. Whatever is by catch can and should be released ASAP.
