  7. gidday all Kelvin Im not haveing a go at you or anyone else mate but solid lead, lead paint, lead minerals, lead dust etc ,if handled can all be absorbed thru the skin .particularly thru the soles of the feet,It can also be ingested as you correctly state. Also from handling lead sinkers and very serously in fumes/vapours created when making your own sinkers. for further info I found an article on this in my latest fre**hwa**r Fis**n* magazine today ,Cheers mate peelipeeli 14 PS we have had a lot of experience with this raiseing children in Broken Hill :)Dylan when my son was too young to conce

  10. Gidday all I am looking for MANNS 10+, 20+,and 30+ hard body lures supplier ,I have been in touch with one non sponsor tackle store in Adelaide he has some old stock but the colours I want ( grey chost.and grey ghost crystaglow, also tennessee shad) are unavailable,.Apparently Shakespeare no longer import 'Manns Lures' and i cant find out who does,Can anyone help with info please.Cheers peelipeeli 14PS I find the 10+ Green Shad Chartreuse excellent for goldern perch as they dive like bricks into deep snags. The 20+ Grey Ghost Crysterglow I bought recently while in Adelaide got three good hits
  11. just having fun Mike ;)I dont think i can advise you really as most of my fishing is Inland Freshwater ,And sadly I dont get to the briney very often. As Shark_fisho says "hang onto it for a while" you will think of something soon . cheers peelipeeli 14
  12. mate just put the lot together, get yourself some tickets and have a raffle on strikehook, that way you make a s*it load more money to buy more stuff and someone in the strikehook community gets your dilema ;D ;D :stir:
  13. gdday bennyThe cockles are good to eat on the bbq if the fish dont bite ;D :Pi know this is off the subject a bit but i also buy green prawn meat from supermarket ($21 p/kg approx) this works well for baitfishing in fresh water, cut the tails into halves lengthwise, its cheaper than frozen bait shrimp/prawns but ok to get started untill i get live bait and the same as cockles if the fishing is slow ,very nice with leftover bacon on the bbq sorry tonyb for hijacking this post cheers peelipeeli 14 im now off to the Darling river for a fish seeya

  18. Gidday carpsI have never heard of a telescopic lure retriever :-[ would you be able to post a photo here for all to see ? I've seen lots of chain types and i use a Tackleback on a cord ,also seen Strikeback lure retriever (topender and Billabong )which comes in seperate screw together sections.nd goes out te 9metres,as i fish from a canoe a telescopic device could be very usefull.Cheers peelipeeli 14
  19. Gidday OSD Billmate I have tried heaps of ways to store hook traces, the method i use at the moment is to put the hook point into the end of a wine bottle cork and wrap the trace around the cork then put a knife cut in the cork and pull the trace line into the slit,I can get three or four traces on the one cork but they still can get tangled,When I make my traces I tie a brass ring to the end instead of just a loop, this is because I use mostly running sinkers and fish mostly inland rivers. Your idea looks excellent and worth a try ,mabee even store them inside some PVC conduit with caps on eac
  20. How many lures have I lost ,HA HA BLOODY HA,Ive only ever lost too? yeah too Bloody many. :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :'( :'( :'( :'( .hissy. .hissy. But the price of the Tackleback lure retriever was the best money ever spent :)Buy one in every size,(I think they only come in 2 sizes) they are brilliant when lureing from the riverbank . I tie mine to builders string line ;DCheers peelipeeli 14
