  1. Got 3 mate. A 20+ year old 3 tray Snowbee that i usually take out whether LB or on the boat, a 2 tray plano which is stocked with spare lures, jags, sinkers, line etc that fits nicely into a tackle bag with a couple of trays i picked up at the caravan and camping show early this year and a single tray Plano i recently bought so i could just take along gear i needed.
  2. Ok, did some research...JFGI...and seems to me that alot of fresh water fishos swear by it, but not so much saltwater fishos. Then there's an old saying "1020" fish a plenty", but the general consensus is no one really knows for sure. Also it's not their tummies but bladder.
  3. I recall a thread where Ranger mentioned something about barometric pressure and the fish in his pond going "off the bite". Can someone explain this to me?as i understand it a low BP is good, but why? I heard that the fishes stomach expand and they can eat more food or some such, is this crap? What's the skinny? Also can someone tell me what the BP was like this week, cause i've had a shocking time on the water.Me and a couple of mates had to bust our asses for a few lousy squid.I reckon Ranger should start a sub forum just so we know what the fish in his pond are doing on a daily basis lol.
  4. Seems you've lost your mojo Austin lol....
  5. Should last a lifetime...of a fly
  6. Not sure either. Peter from Brighton Tackle pulled in a Dog shark at Brighton jetty yesterday and i also saw a few KG's pulled in.

  8. Cheers! Entered "River Torrens". Some great old pics.
  9. Daniel, have you tried a Google search? Wikipedia has some good info etc. Having lived near Linear park for the last 20 odd years i too have an affinity for the "river". Thorndon Pk Reservoir was the first one to hold Adelaides' drinking water before more were built. If you seriously want to get good info on the river Campbelltown library and the state library are your best bet. I can tell you when i was a young fella we would go yabbying and fishing around the river but as the pollution got worse we "gave it away".We would catch carp, red fin, perch and Callop around the "river' where my old
  10. Pretty much the same as you mate, 'cept i get the foam from packaging, not polystyrene but the like of the foam that's used for laptops etc. Also i still have a good collection of old camera film canisters, the lil black platic ones with the grey lids.
  11. Daniel, if you can, go to your local library and borrow the book "Campbelltown 150 years-From the river to the hills" if you can't find it i will dig up my copy. This book is filled with journals from old settlers etc, some great archival pic etc. From memory there is stories in there of fishing up the gorge around Athelstone, to Felixstow around Morialta falls etc.
  12. So what does membership get you?Rezz, it gets you discount/member rates for all their courses. I got a brochure so i'll check what ele.

  14. One thing to consider highly when purchasing an Egi rod is the size of the jigs you will be using. Usually you will find specific rods for the smaller jigs and then ones for sizes 2.5-3.5.So decide what your preference re jigs is and factor that in to your decision. There is also specific Egi braid and then Egi reels.Take a look at these rods. I have heard good things about them.http://www.sportfishingscene.com.au/products-page/s-w-labhearty-rise/hearty-rise-egi-force-ec-862h/
  15. That's a really nice vid mate. Thanks for posting.Inspired me to read some more about the lady, Cristina Zenato."Cristina’s love of exploration and caving is inspiring, yet it pales when it comes to Sharks. Cristina has a natural ‘gift’, some would say, with Sharks. Practicing a little known technique of rubbing and manipulating her fingers across the ampullae of Lorenzini, the visible dots [electro-receptive sensory organs] all around a shark’s head and face, she induces a tonic immobility. To the observer, this looks like a shark falling asleep right in her lap. La
  16. I am without speech.... :boat:Is that your R/T ?Does your dad own a brewery ?
  17. Yep, the USA has always been about economies of scale. Still interesting data considering the effects of the GFC and the overall condition of the US economy read "in the dunny".Also look at the cost of boating there, a friend of mine on a US forum picked up a 2004 23ft Bayliner Trophy for $10 grand.
