  1. G'day mate and welcome to the site, as you have seen there will be no problem finding volunteers to fish with you here. Whereabouts in the UK are you from? There are a few of us lurking around here.Regards,Barney.(Doncaster, Yorkshire)
  2. Looks good Dan, will spend a bit more time looking around later.Regards,Barney.
  3. No worries Dan, hope you are feeling better. We have had some problems here too with the site being down for a couple of days, was hacked by some inconsiderate ********!!Barney.
  4. Maybe Tornadoes would be a bit clearer?
  5. Thanks for sharing Dan, sorry to hear about your problems with vandals, I too would rather see the kids out fishing, they may learn to respect things then. Saddly most of them seem to be beyond hope.Regards,Barney.
  6. Thanks Dan, some interesting reading there. As for your Bream hatchery, I am sure many on this forum would be interested in hearing about that if you get a chance.Regards,Barney.
  7. afishyfish wrote: Does that then mean absolutely no-one can use any other lane after 12 for launching ?No, what it does mean is that if the lane you chose was the far right hand ramp and it was before noon he was right and you were wrong. There are many options here but few facts ie which ramp, what time of day etc. Just trying to clear the water, not provoke an argument.
  8. Not sure how many lanes there are at WB if there are multiple lanes, pontoons, the guy retrieving does not have the right to choose one that is already being used which is the way I read the original post.

  10. I agree with the "idiots" comment but I find nothing amusing about the story. People went out of their way to help these idiots, possibly putting themselves at risk. I am familiar with the area having spent several years fishing in "The Territory" back when it was legal to carry a hand gun for self protection. People that do things like this need condemnation, not laughter but it would probably be wasted on them.
  11. The smaller ones are also good prepared the same way then wrapped in alfoil with some butter / oil and your choice of seasoning, BBQ campfire or oven, all work well.
  12. Managed to snag a fishing charter today on the Colorado river which forms the border between Arizona and California, the day started off looking really good but unfortunately a low pressure system had moved in during the night putting the bigger fish off the bite. Did manage to bag several Striped Bass to 3 lbs, they fight really well on light tackle, like catching Australian Salmon but in fresh water. Will attach some pics when I figure out how to do it on this site.Regards,Barney.
