I use carp in blocks for snapper over on Yorkes.PRO- good fun to catch- plentiful- free- good "cloud trail" in the waterCON- messy work- scales are like armour,and continually clog mincer- bones plentifulFrom experience,use the smaller specimens.........a kilo or less.......they grind up easier Your going to catch larger carp too........great for crab nets,and they make great gents for gar etcjust my views though......hope it helps a bit

I don't "lure fish" as such............shiny 100gm at salmon during winter at bottom of Yorkes..........but,do lures catch "more fisherman than fish?" :dry: Not a criticism,just an honest question........whether it be hardbodies or "squidgee's".To me,shiny is shiny as to a sambo..........obviously different plastics for bream,snapper and mullies.....but who's a "tackle tart"........lol

personally not.......if I had a snapper,it would be legal size........38cm + and eaten ...........anything above the bag limit,or what I could use,would be returned to the water to catch later.......not sure of your motives here :dry:

I use braid with a double ........from either a bimini or spider hitch..........from the loop,a cats paw (i think also called an offshore knot as well ) to my swivel,then mono leader after that.........seems ok for me for mullies,sharks and rays
