I've always used the same knots in braid as mono, except for "double the amount of turns or twists" for braid...........and I've also heard a drop of superglue on a braid knot to be sure( to be sure........see,double for braid......or Irish people )
thats what i thought when i pulled it from the water but it sorta looks like a cross between a luderick and a drummer. if it helps it had a red throat which isnt clear in the photo but yea' date=' a really red throat[/quote']I'm thinking a drummer..........Luderick always have 11 stripes
Being "totally ignorant" of the tournament scene how much "by-catch" is there?Minimal ?.........abundant?............depends on the water fished?Just curious, that's all
Not really sure what they're pumping as I've not seen it.........but I'd say it would be the fish's "natural food source",and therefore prove "useful" I remember pumping / digging tube worms from Pelican Point at low tide,35 years ago..........gun baits there in that area for everything that swam through there as it was "local".........used to "struggle" with prawns or shop bought tubies though What's the old saying........."match the hatch"
Never let the facts get in the way of a good story I reckon it's a true capture as well.........if I'd eat it  ......no way.............let it swim Personal opinion though ...........seen some huge fella's set free on FWC with anglers happy to do so,and seen some big ones kept......personal choice,as long as they're not wasted .........in that case, greed isn't good.
15lb sambo........done .......15lb 2ozreckon a 25lb carp should be in there........oh yeah........done that too 50lb mullie is next for me...........49 is my pb
sounds like they're a bit like women.........you can't work them out no matter what you do,finally you catch one and you think you've cracked the code, then they change their mind again  All you can do is persist with the little buggers Hang in there
