Went between tauwitchere and the mouth Sunday, not a fish in sight. Pleanty of small ST but no mullet or mulloway. Heaps of bloody crabs tho. 4 or 5 a time on our baits. Unsure as to what rigs I should be using and what to look for in the water. We anchored on a reasonable drop. Should bait be on the bottom or a meter under a float or just an unweighted bait floating around?

One other tip I forgot to mention, swap out treble hooks for singles, circles hooks are best imo, but even with standard singles you'll have far less spat hooks and much easier unhooking them, plus kinder to undersized fish or ones you want to release.

These guys work a treat for salmon! You might just want to get a bigger one though. this one is for small st and flatties.
