  1. Well done,It was going to be my guess that the reel is left handed. But then again I'm right handed and have my reel set up for a left hand. I set it up this was because your always false casting and I do that with my right so instead of swapping hand I now just reel with my left. Feels natural with the fly rod but can’t do it with the spinning gear.Goldy
  2. i dont' care if its real or not... that was funny as!
  3. I dont know what pattern your trying to tie but what about bending the hook (half way down the shank). like the bend back pattern, I think that is why they do it (to make it weedless with point up)
  4. G'day Mate, Go see Simon in Fishermans Parradise. they have a fair bit of stuff, I'm not to sure when Darren last went in there but since I have been going there its only been getting bigger and if they dont have is simon will order in and normaly has it within the week. Also I have ordered things from Flyworld and it has taken over 6 weeks to get a few rolls of thread.Cheers Dale
  5. I found this a long time ago. Its from the Orvis website.http://www.orvis.com/intro.aspx?subject=2107There is a good chart for fly line Wt Vs. Fly Hook Size.I can work out how to copy the chart.Cheers Goldy
  6. In the Torrens a mate and I just throw in some bread to get them feeding on the surface. Wait a few minutes, then sight fish for them with a BMS.Cheers Goldy
  7. Only when their aim is good I hope :whistle:I was watching a video the other day and the bloke said a sharp racing axe will go straight throghsteel caps... i was shaving the hairs from my arms with my new one last night.Goldy
  8. Most competitve wood choppers wear them.
  9. Tonka, You will need to give me the recipe to those worm flys they look great.Cheers Goldy
  10. One thing that does bother me is that alot of the post i'm reading on here in relation to saltwater fishing is about the cost of owning a boat so you shouldn't need to pay anymore... Well whoever said you had to buy a boat. that was your choice and it wasn't forced apon you so why should it stop you from helping to improve the fishery??? (when i say fishery i mean salt and fresh, if it is only fresh seeing the benifit then only fresh pay for it). you can fish saltwater from the shore if you want, with a lot more limited success but people do it.Goldy
