  1. Sounds good, but I never really fish for cod or callop, and I don't have a boat
  2. Pretty odd question/post.I really like the look of this combo (Shimano Chronarch 50E fishing and Tcurve Revolution 632). I am looking at a way to justify it to myself. But when would I be likely to use it? Please tell me what applications you would use this combo for so I can consider if I buy it or not. http://sneakyfisho.com/index.php/shimano-chronarch-50e-combo.htmlKind regards.
  3. uhh Des..... Thanks Mate... thanks for the smile at the thought of catching a solid YFW, then having it fall back in to the soup you lift from the water.Cheers

  9. Good Afternoon,I have out a whole (gutted and gilled) Nannygai. I am planning on Baking this whole for tea. What are individuals thoughts? Should I do it like a snapper or has anyone got any mind blowing herbs and spice combinations?Cheers
  10. I think you will find most people will use soft plastics or hard bodies, mainly to cover the areas they could be hiding. But worms, yabbies or shrimp will work.
  11. You can not compare a Calcutta of any size to the okuma. Regardless of what material is being used, there are varying grades and qualities that are manufactured. The only Okuma reel I use these days is the V-system. I might be a snob, but I only use shimano (Models being Saros, Stradic, Calcutta, Twin Power, TLD, Baitrunners B Series), plus the single okuma v-system. My Diawas and Okuma Epix were always having to go back to the shop with drive shaft or bearing concerns. But in keeping with the thread, I use handlines for squiding only. I found that they were also good for catching livies. But I
  12. As well as the already mentioned, some KGW have been caught there in dreadful weather during winter. A few red mullet can often be caught there as well.
  13. like the image below, but still pinning it the same as mentioned above.
  14. I use a 10'6" rod, 50lb main line. Keep in mind I don't fish the beaches along the Coorong very often. Fishing Yorkes or the South East with a live bait, 2 snelled 4/0 to 8/0 hooks. The ring a single dropper paternoster similar to the image below. using 60-80lb trace line. Don't worry about all the poxy beads and stuff shown in the image. from the swivel to the sinker is 3-4 foot, with the loop about 1 foot from the top (swivel). I use a Dropper Loop knot to hang the trave with the hooks from my rig. The hooks are suspended on 15-20 inch of line.I pin the livie through the upper and lower jaw,
  15. Venting. I learned to air down on my first trip to Salt Creek back in 1979' date='when my Series 2 Land Rover wouldn't make it over the crossing and VW Beetle's were romping it in on deflated tyres. [/quote']Cheers for clarifying. The VW was often turned into a sand buggy upon road life retirement.
  16. looks like a grader or loader had been down on it, the surface was compacted. entrance area on to the beach (last 5 - 10m) of track was soft sand. then it returned to the firm beach
  17. The gunyah was easy. There was lots of rain. Very firm, except for 1 part. In regards to goolwa beach, track in had been repaired. Beach drove like a road and I didn't cut it up. That's why I asked. Once I arrived at the soft area we turned back before doing damage
  18. just curious if you are having a dig at me or venting?
  19. For sure, mine are narrow pizza cuter styles. Some broader tyre's would be nice.
