  1. Hey Russell,Wether it was a freak catch or what i dont know but, i caught one from Hallet Cove a few months back. 12ft of water over a rocky/sand bottom.Used a paternoster rig size 6/0 long shank hook holding pilchard chunks.Worth a go on the way back from your other place ;)Colin
  2. We had a moment today. No food to take with us so stopped in a bakers delight and picked up some goodies. When hunger set in out at sea we realised the food was still in the car .hissy.Colin (hungry)
  3. Hi guys,My mrs set me up on facebook as she had just set herself up on it.I thought what a waste of time, i'll never use it but,i came over from the uk 2 years ago and had pretty much lost contact with friends over there.Since registering on face book some of them have found me and we are in contact again. So i guess its good for some.Colin
  4. We got half way to the boat ramp when i suddenly thought of the key for the boat hanging on the wall. "Did you bring it?" i asked her indoors? "No, i thought you did" was the reply .hissy.Colin
  5. You're not wrong there mate, grab it while you can.Colin
  6. Hi all,Thanks for the replies.Going through the posts there doesnt seem to be any hard and fast rules on which is best apart from the coinciding with dawn or dusk.Just have to find me a hotspot and try all times.CheersColin
  7. Thanks guys,I'll tell the Mrs i MUST fish both turns of tides for educational purposes and scientific research :icon_e_wink:Ho hum, suppose someones got to do it :icon_lol:Colin
  8. Thanks jagger, good to know.I was after kgw at the time.Colin
  9. Hi,When we have been fishing in the boat we seem to have quiet mornings (we go after school run) then just before we leave, to come back early arvo (for return school run) the fish seem to come on.I was wondering if the change to incoming tide is more productive than outgoing? Or maybe just a coincidence.Colin
  10. Hi guys,Went out on the boat off of o'sullies and mrs caught one of these again.I posted pics last time and Tyke suggested it may be a smokehouse cod.Cant seem to match it up in the fishes of SA book.Any ideas? Excuse my ignorance but all my fishing has been in the uk on lakes and rivers, so sea fishing is a whole new ball game. Wouldnt like to take something dodgy or illegal.CheersColin http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/Bm6aj9Mz__fish.JPG[/img]
