Go to big w and they have a great shimano combo. It's comes with a shimano sienna reel as well as a light graphite rod (can't remember exact size). In the combo I'm pretty sure it comes with line, a pack of squidgy soft plastics and a soft plastics tips and techniques DVD. Hope that helps

What is the max that you could spend? If you have a small budget u could go to big w as they usually have a descent shimano combo that includes line and a pack of sp's. But if you want something more expensive it really comes down to your personal preference. My first jetty combo was a cheap Abu Garcia muscle tip 3-6kg rod paired with a Abu Garcia cardinal and 10 line. Caught plenty of fish and squid on that! Good luck hope you find something!

Sorry I'm not giving away secret spots or anything but you would be safe anywhere from salt fleet bridge to the mouth. You can launch at the aquatics club right next to salt fleet bridge. For plastics choices I'd say zman 2.5 grubs in motor oil. I have caught bream and salmon trout on them. I would like to help with mulloway lures but I havnt caught one yet I might even take my yak out friday so might see you down thereGood luck :f

Hi guys me again, I was just wondering if you are allowed to pump bait from the onk mouth as I have seen a few people doing it but I can't find anywhere that says it's not allowed? All I can find is that it is illegal to collect bait from southport through to horseshoe reef and nothing about the onk. If it's illegal can someone give me some spots that do hold nippers and worms? I have been to christies and there is nothing.Thanks

Nah I'm getting it from bcf as it's all that I can really afford ATM but I will probably upgrade to something like a stradic after a while. So 2500 shimano Sahara it is.

That is so freaky!! So that squid is definitely dead?I cleaned a mullet the other day, it had been bled, had no gills or organs and then it randomly started flipping around when it went in water I guess this is along the same lines of that?

Hi, got another question here.Has anyone had any success in FINDING beach worms in the Noarlunga area?I have tyres southport on a number of occasions as well as moan a but I can't find them anywhere!! Any help would be appreciated!Thanks

I live in the Noarlunga area and have seen occasional ones pulled out of the onk but really not very many. If anyone knows of anywhere I am also keen to have a crack!
