Caught this one off Rapid bay jetty some years ago 41cm from tip of beak to tail. The plate it is sitting on, is 25cm across. The fillets when cooked overhang the plate somewhat like two big KG whiting fillets.Sure was delicious! Probably much the same size as yours kelvin. A couple of dozen this size wouldn't go astray. Just a tiddler compared to what the size can be according to "Sea FISHES of Southern Australia" Sea garfish Max. length 52cm.That sure is a big Gary. size=921http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/Y01keNSl__biggest_garfish.jpg[/img]
