AFC 32
Day 1 we arrived at 5.30am and were able to get 8 squid on first light. Baits were set on balloons at the power station. All day we waited in driving rain for no result. Cold, wet and over it we headed to the pub to drown our sorrows.Day 2 back at the ramp at 5.30 with headaches and no inspiration we launched with a stiff wind already blowing. Squid were near impossible to get as the boat was driftind so fast our jags were skiing alond the surface. After one and a half hours we had a bait each and headed back to the station. Balloons set we waited again. My bait was slammed around 11am on a 24kg outfit. The fish behaved very well and was boatside before he knew it. After a quick pic he was returned to the water to fight another day. The rest of the day was event free so we packed up and returned back to Adelaide. All it takes is that one fish to get conversation happening about next years annual gutter trip.I have included a pick of the fish my mate got on last years trip. He wasn't to keen to return it as it was his first King. It did go well in the smoker though.http://
