Damo67 6
Gday , going through my fishing stuff getting the boat ready for when we have good weather and looks like something had a chew on my burley bucket/ cage rope. Went to bunnings to try and find something but only came up with this 3mm stuff. Think this is too thick as the other looked more like 2mm. Just curious as to what others use, Heavy fishing line? or?Cheers
urhookedfish 12
If your burley pot is only a light weight plastic surface burley pot then the 2mm might be okay but if its a metal cage pot then you would be better with 3 or 4mm for sure.ie thicker is better when hauling up a decent weight from 20-30m
crispy 2
i have mine on a handline the line is about 4mm thick nylon rope ,the berly cage is plastic and i have sinkers tied together in the bottom ,i can raise and lower to any depth and i dont think it would worry the fish to much there just intersted in whats coming out of it ,if i could post a picture id show you .
