Joejoe153 0
Hey guys,A good dedicated fishing mate of mine has told me if you use a food saver for your catch, it tastes as good as fresh when you pull it out of the freezer. So, I'm in the market for a food saver/ cry vac machine, and am wanting advice on which ones are good, and which ones are bad, .....and which ONE is BEST.Obviously, value for money is important, I am not wanting to spend for than $200.Anyone who has had one for a decent time, used it plenty and not had any problems, I want to know about it. Thanks,Joe :f

Cheap and does the job.We ate some squid that i had vac sealed and froze for 11 months, tasted pretty good if you ask me.Just bought some more rolls of bags off ebay. $40 for 30m of bags, you can make the bags what ever size you want which is great. ChuckTseeker 425
we have the sunbeam food saver, no idea what it cost but it would have been on special does the job well! It's just the price of those bags  it's like buying a printer these days $40 for the printer $100 to re-ink it cheers chuck
Del 245
got the maxkon.. had it for nearly 2 years. happy so far. DEFINITELY comes down to the bags.. make sure the bags are dimpled/textured. flat plastic ones wont vac seal real well in the maxkon. ok for bait. but no good for fresh stuff
Del 245
also just recieved the new batch of bags from this ebayerhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/160903227226?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649topnotch full textured bags. so now got 8 more rolls of GOOD bags and i still have 6 rolls of bags suitable for bait and other such non desirables. the other rolls are only textured on the edge and i found that they didnt vac and seal EVERY time correctly. so have relegated them to seconds usage. archerfish 685
I've got a Sunbeam VAC440 which I've been more than happy with performance-wise, but as Chuck mentioned above, the price of the genuine Sunbeam bags can be a bit of a downer.Cheersaf
