SandLurk81 0
Does anyone on here Vaccum pack baits to keep them fresh? How much longer will the baits stay fresh if frozen or put in ice. Cheers
Hugo 120
Haven't vacsealed bait, but it makes sense. I have a small cryovac that I use when I have a bog load of fillets or meat to freeze. Best results are when bait (or food) is super fresh. If you are going to use the bait within a few weeks, don't bother freezing it, just keep it in the fridge. Once thawed, it will go off the same as any bait. If frozen, it will last for months, once thawed, it will be in better nick than if you froze it in a zip lock bag. SandLurk81
dutchy 451
Vac packed baits will store, Freeze, pack & transport better The easiest cheap way to vac pack bait is .... Fill bucket of water Put left over bait into zip lock bags pull bottom corners under water to push air out zip up bag Bags can be rinsed & reused My cryovac can strugle with sucking juice out of bait So I just use it for Prime fillets :cheer: Moggy23, Underpants, Des and 3 others
