Seamartin surf reel

Came across this whilst browsing 13 bids and current bid is $1275.00I don't think reel would hold to much line ?

Cant say I'm surprised by the price. Looks in mint condition and even older than you Pes Definately a collectors item, I'm a sure

i still have 2 that i bought in the early 90s,, wouldent say there in mint condition but they still work i use them mainly beach fishing,,an excelent reel cheers freddyboy

G"day pescados,the seamartins hold 480 metres of 25 pound,probably 600 odd if using braid.Huge line capacities on them,although it doesnt look it at first glance .Cheers

G"day pescados,I actually got it wrong,they hold 400 metres of 9 kilo ,but still its surprisingly a hell of a lot of line,throw braid into the picture and it would be over 500 for sure.Also if you look closely at freds pic it shows how the line gets layed on in a criss cross wrap,a feature of these old reels and although I"ve never used one apparently its a tangle free system and great for casting.Cheers
