Thought I'd share a few DIY projects I have been working on. I recently purchased a vibrating blade lure mold and some blade blanks and have knocked a few blades.They have an awesome action and I am customizing a few by painting with nail polish and sticking on some eyes and silver scales. Best of all they come in at only a few bucks each

Knocked up a few more using a clear plastic CD divider cut up for the blade blank. These look great and at 3cm long should be great for tommies.

Kelvin kindly gave me some of his blades to try out this week end and they cast like a rocket, have a wickid soft vibration, they are what I call honest ie the VMC trebles are not trying to make love to each other at every cast and Kelvin has also cleverly put a smaller treble at the front of the lure to accommodate this B)My test bed was a couple of weedy dams which were not ideal for these bottom huggers!Can't wait to give them a good work out soon on more suitable waters!Thanks again for your kindness Kelvin

I'm impressed! They look the goods, blades are always effective, and with the amount of blades snagged and lost, it certainly would be wise to make your own up.Well done on putting in the effort to do something yourself! Satisfying way to catch a fish I recon!
