I own a Saros 4000 and a Caldia but in the custom kix 2508.I have used the Saros a several times and to be honest, it was ok, I was hoping it would be a whole lot better, ....... now that I think about it I wasn't too happy from its first outing :PIt has a lot of noise from the bearing in the line roller, I didnt think it should have any. Yes you can change them but lets be honest, why should you have too, after shelling out the coin?I have since given it to my daughter as the reel for her outfit. So it now live's on a rod with pink grips :icon_e_surprised:I know my Caldia isnt the same size b

  6. Isnt that funny.Ive used it and thought it was crap, the reason was it had a memory, far more than normal and just had loads of loops and twists in it.from memory Yobbo had the same problem with it.Go figure
  7. I can sharpen a chisel to a razor edge no problems, but always suck at getting a truly sharp edge on a knife :-[ But after Yobbo put me onto this I now find when using mine I can get a sharp enough edge to shave hair off my arm. :othey are that good.

Easter Monday I headed up to Wallaroo for the week, the fishing was somewhat ordinary I must say but the squiding from the boat was OK so that made up for it a bit ;)On Thursday evening we went out for a few hours and failed to even get a single bite, across 6 lines in the water :icon_e_surprised: and no squid either :icon_e_sad:flicked on a spotlight and the water was teeming with lice, so we pulled the lines in and headed in.I have had many a fishing trip where the sea lice are thick and the fishing always is poor.So am wondering if anybody has any info or knowledge about them?
