All three groups that are on the council have more members than RFSA individually. What you need to get into your head is - SA voted- - RFSA is gone as the representative body July 1. The Ministers Recreational Fishing Advisory Council is on the table now. This Council and the Minister will then decide the best approach for forming the Representative body to replace RFSA. 
FB is only one avenue to communicate - but powerful enough to convince a Government to make change. 
We are having a get together night soon, all those that fought for change will be there. How about you Man up and come make those accusations face to face. Or, just hide and keep making gutless remarks about good people ! ?

The Marshall Liberal Government is moving full steam to deliver our commitment establishing a new body to be the voice of recreational fishers to government.
As promised, recreational fishers will have the chance to stand for election and be voted onto the new representative recreational fishing council.
Existing organisations like RecFishCentral will be given a seat at the table, as promised at the election.
A final consultation paper will be issued to the sector in coming weeks, with an intention for the body to be established for the new year.
Consistent with historical practice the previous government entered into a two-year funding agreement with RecFish SA which ends on 30 June 2019.
Prior to the March 2018 State Election, the Government made an election commitment entitled Representation for Recreational and Commercial Fishers.  
This commitment aims to ensure recreational fishers have much better representation and proposes to establish a new body for recreational fishers, including representatives from RecFish SA, Recfish Central, the SA Fishing Alliance and any other relevant groups.

RFSA cant be abolished. Their peak status has been removed only. The point everybody is missing is RFSA are equally represented on the Rec Fishing Council !

You dont serm to understand policy. RFSA obviously do ! I note the AAA angling association joined our association and have put a request in to be on the Rec Council. All assocuations involved have taken note of your continuos FB slander comments. 

Policy was announced last Dec. It's included in the 100 day plan. As of yesterday RFSA removed it's Peak Body status from it's FB page.

Gee, and what have you done except whine and criticize? We have done far more submissions and media releases than the peak body. With a weekly reach of 70,000, it's not a bad result for those working as volunteers. Yes, the website has been hacked, on purpose by the way and this is being addressed, but we have many portals for discussion. Right now, there is no doubt that if SAFA and RecFish Central had not pushed issues hard, nothing would be on the table towards the election. We didn't see anybody else present to the Natural Resources committee ? Slanging off at those working their guts out to make a difference ?  Good on you !

You and your companions are the reason we are not active on this forum. We are a ground up organisation, it's members ( SA Fishos) dictate the direction. It is their group ! Those that have decided, they have had enough of the lies, back door deals and the slide down hill of our rights have chosen, to yell it from the hilltops. People can chose to be happy with the current situation or fight for change. We are heading for an election, and I assure you.all our cards are in place.
SA Anglers want independence, they want to make decisions for their own future ! Coming to us and pushing the same old barrows that have not worked and never will, will get a reaction, not just from us.
We have the biggest reach of any representative group now, and growing daily. Behind the scenes, we have been told that our work has greatly influenced some decisions, for the better.
Now if you followed and kept up, you would have noticed the issues around the Rec management plan, and the back door deals the Commercials have done , at our expense to feather their nest. In fact we had them taunt us with it. The abuse of our rights under the fisheries ACT, is disgusting and we will continue to highlite it.
You may not agree with the growing voice of SA Anglers, that's your choice. And people have a right to chose their Reps.

The DEPI have annual statements on their website. Who is managing our grant money ? DEWNR !

Only 6% of the Vic RFL goes directly to Fishng related benefits. Here the RFL money would be handled and distributed by DEWNR. I would prefer to take the punt on a Rec Fishing council, where we got to vote in our representatives, not the current situation !

There are bigger fish to fry. As the biggest stakeholder, we are being treated like chicken little. Our rights as equal stakeholders of a shared resource, have been sold off to backroom deals with a Minister. An RFL will not fix this situation, nor will it stop the encroaching conservationists. The first move forward, should be the formation of a Rec fishing council. Here reps from the various representative groups would form an independent body. This would have a powerful voice. We need our rights under, the fisheties ACT restored, proper surveys and community impact. studies done etc. From here this council, could manage an RFL from a trust fund. Ensuring that our money is protected from abuse.
