    Newtontoney, I have a 196/8 Sabre Bought it 2nd about 15 years agoAwesome rodEven though I'd rather now use spin sticks I do get it out at least once a year for some funI use an Abu 5500 Pro Rocket on it with 4kg monoAnd it does cast like a Rocket!!!

    Yes mate, they do work.Caught a few small cod on the larger onesand heaps of callop on the smaller ones trolling in about10-12 feet of water

    The Starlo Stix for about $100 is a top rod as Kelvin saidI also use an old Stradic 4000 on mine. Top combo!!Landed legal Mulloway with it and perfect for 40 gram lures!

    Had a good morning at Salt Creek. 4 keepers in the esky! Snapped my fathers Surf rod on an unstoppable. Unluckly, it got caught on the end off the rod holder. Flies were friendly!
