Some years ago, dabbing in the shallows in Pondalowie bay, I netted a squid that was right on the waters edge- in about 5cm.

Same method here.... and I cut schoolies and gummies into thinner slices too..My biggest problem is getting my share! My family prefer shark to most other fish... and my aging dog (a female boxer) comes out of hibernation when she smells shark being prepared--- sits there real close, slobbering as only boxers can, big brown eyes pleading for a taste--- and wuffing at me to get attention if I'm too slow to give her some. And the cartlidge goes her way too-

I'm looking for tips on how to smoke slimy-mackeral in a gas weber kettle. I have been using a metho-burner smoker but want to try the weber coz I reckon it may be easier...All help greatfully received...PS smoked slimies are delicious!!

So... if I want to catch (and release) a really BIG Shark... I should troll a kayak???

R Hunt Esq used to have a range of stuff under 'his name'....He withdrew fom a line of'Tuna Oil' when he discovered the supplier was using 95% veg oil (canola I think)He went up in my estemm when he did this.........and yer not wasting yer time..... Tuna oil is great for snapper..mix it with burley pellets and freeze the mixture, then place in a burley bucket and sink it.

Tennis ball only if I walk into the water, otherwise I'll continue to use the basket-ball............................
