  2. bit of a hollow victory by the crows, they are still tards..... you watch... they will be talking finals again....
  3. now thats an idea... they make steel capped riggers boots, the kind used for walking on tops of big building etc etc...very similar to volleys.and super tuff....
  4. somebodies gotta say it...SHOW US YA FOOT.......

  6. what about a pair of waders?nice and worm, and keep ya tootsies dry...ive got hornes, and they will custom make to your size... im sure others would as well.
  7. Skudded wrote: thats what my copper mate in canberra told me... where yu find the info on that locally? i might just get away with it, if i trim mine back a bit.
  8. on my truck, i only have a nudge bar.... so to fit the rod racks, i made up another tube...2 x exhaust bends were tig welded together, couple of nuts welded to some round plates, then the plates were welded into the ends of the pipes. drill through the nedge bar, and bolted the new pipe up, then attached the rod racks to that.if anyone else has a nudge bar, this should work for them as well...just make sure you have clearance to open the bonnet.http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i7/nifty_2006/rodracks005-1.jpg

ANDREW - RODI wrote: you dont... the rod slides in, and the reel seat goes into the groove....pretty safe... and ive travelled with mine on dirt roads, highway speeds, sand and mud...they just sit there.since ive been taking the alvey off, and using a small bracket i made up, i put some duct tape around the top, but there isnt really a need for it... the rod stays put in the slot.this stops the reel from getting dusty, and anything which may vibrate loose and being lost.the reels are safely inside with me.instead of making something like this up, cut the foot of an old un-used reel.... will do

  11. yeah more than likely...the places i fish, are surrounded by rocks...bazzillions of them.small, large, pebbles, medium sized...the rocks is just a general term i use...the places are black point, mushroom rocks, the pegs, the axle, fenceline, garfish bay, becky point, lighthouse, the bus....... take your pick... ive fished them all, and generally only within 20-30kms apart...ive even fished them all in one day...
  12. hard to catch whiting with little of no movement thats for sure.i prefer a dodge tide for snapper...., but have caught them on incoming, outgoing, high, dead low, and everything in between.
  13. still not a definate for me yet, could be heading the west coast... or getting car painted....
  14. Humf wrote: great idea mate... might just do that next tme i see them about at work.
  15. Dubs The Tackle Man wrote: hey dubs, who makes them? good idea with the rubber,im looking for rubber for mine, but also want the rubber on the other end to prevent scratching the rod.
  16. yorke_angler wrote: i got stopped at a random testing station not long ago, and the cop tols me they are illegal...even though he had them on his 4wd...i cant find ANY knowledge on the subject on the road and traffic website pertaining to them.the cop told me, they are worried about a puncture wound with them...like a bull bar on a 4wd isnt going to damage a pedestrian anyway.another cop mate i know in canberra has seen pics of mine, and said they are prefered to have the leading sharp edge, behind the bar of the bullbar...as viewed from side on.and that hos the local cop looked at mine.he sug

  19. oh, and sometimes 2 pair of socks for when its really cold.i work shift work, and did night shifts on the weekend, and it went to zero every night.the cold floor, went right through my steel cap boots soles, and made my feet cold.went and got some lambswool insoles, and that fixed that problem
  20. fleecy track pants, t shirt, quilted flannelette shirt ( nice and warm), and an old jacket....waders over the lot, and a thinsulate beaniefingers are the trouble area...trying to keep them warm.
  21. well done tyke.... always great to beat a pb.....
  22. hope you have fun fishyfish.... ive got some good mates up there, and they tell me today is RAINING....
  23. ive got a ( think ) shakespere bag.it has a pull out waterproof lining, which can come in handy for putting fish in , but i dont use it for that.my rigs are in money bags, from the bank.when tied they are placed in a bumbag in the fishing bag.i dont carry a lot, 3 or 4 bags of swivels and hooks, some chem lights for night fishing, pliers, bog roll ( of course) and a few other odds and sods.i used to carry everything i may need, but found i never used it, so why was i lugging it around?out it came, and ive been stuck a couple of times missing something, but thats fishing.
  24. SNYDERGLAS...... there was one on here the other day for sale as well... excellant light rod, very light, and very capable.
