Hello fellow Hookers,I got my self a new toy!!As some of u know i was hunting for a new rod to suit up with my Abu Ambassaduer 5600 C4I went to my local Tackle world a saw me mate Kym and he guided me towards this beautiful rodwhich i procceded to go on and buy. Its a DAIWA Coastal Inshore Special. 7.0" graphite with fuji blanks, got a light tip but also has plenty of guts down the business end. It has such a great balance when i put the reel on and it feels great! I threw a few lures around at rapid bay just to use it and i cant wait to put it into some serious action soon!anyways, just wanted to share my joy of a new rod and reel set up that i am stoked about haha Gonna go land me some jewies and reds now :f Ciao

Braid is forLure fishing, soft plastics, hard bodies & blades for snapper etcdeep water uglies 50mt plus like kingfish, samsons, nannies etcwhiting fishing braid is great until you drift then mono is the gobig surface fish like 100kg plus tuna is all going back to mono, samefor big kings taken on surface baits.bait fishing for XXL snapper no matter the depth mono & circle hooks all the way.bait fishing in surf= monolure casting salmon= braidmost good reels come with spare spool for a reasoncheersBigAsh

I like them for rugger snapper,shallow or deep.But will also cast a metal lure for salmon a mile matched with the right rod. cheers brenton

Mate I have just bought one of this off a fellow Strike HookerIts matched with a Shimano Jewel 6-10kg Baitcast rod and I am currently running 12lb Mono on it.I plan on using it to chase schoolies around the Port and Westlakes (and wherever else I venture)

i cant lay claim to it, my bro in law got it at lucky bay near cowell, 55cm

I was looking through the latest posts and i thought i would add one form a couple of my photos from the storm in December 2010 taken at St Kilda, spent the whole day following that storm good times. I may add a couple more later while im not at work!!!!!
