  2. Im a big fan of daiwa, great value for money reels seem almost unbreakable (almost). I love the Tierra and 2 sol's I have, never regreted spending my hard earned on a daiwa reel.
  3. It's good practice to give 100m or more, it is a big stretch of beach with plenty of good, relatively accessible gutters. However the beach can sometimes be almost full with all the productive looking water spoken for in which case I guess i could understand to some degree. After all everyone has a right to fish, and it isn't a short or inexpensive trip to salt creek, and some may only get the opportunity to get down there once a year. As far as fishing from a jetty it's just one of those unfortunate things I suppose, as this is where a lot of people learn to fish and therefore are rat shit at
  4. Nice one rybak not a bad size jewie can't wait to get onto them again I think I have the mullie bug
  5. Oh and Goodluck tonight rybak hope you fair better than I
  6. Hey guys, today wasn't as successful as had hoped still got a couple fish each but nothing like last week. I guess the full moon last week definitely helped. We made a move further up during the mid morning to another known mulloway location but no good, I guess sometimes you're lucky and sometimes you're not I should probably change my avatar as I haven't had the dreads for a while now, I did try out the blades but didn't have much luck. The parts of the coorong I have been concentrating on of late tend to hold a lot of coral so they don't particularly suit that style of fishing but will
  7. Will be fishing the coorong so won't be much hope of snagless, wouldn't mind a nice big aggressive coorong bream as by catch
  8. Cheers for the replies, will check out the 3d minnows next time i head to the tackle store Brenton. Heading for another flick 2moro with ubolt, hopefully we can get onto a few more. They're great fun on the light bream gear!
  9. Hey jack, if youre launching at sugars try navigating to the mundoo side of the mouth far less boat traffic, and if you happen to hook a bigger jewie far less likely to tangle with other boats and anglers. Its just as productive but seems to get less pressure. Goodluck with it and i hope you manage a few nice legals. Ubolt and i did quite well around 40 between us, with 15 of which were legals and still swimming around.
  10. hey all, have recently got onto a fair few schoolies using hb's and soft plastics. I dont have many larger hb lures and am looking at getting a few to add to the collection, was wondering what lures people have had success with in the past? Did particularly well on a yo-zuri magnet system 70mm. Any help would be great.Cheers Midcoast
  11. When you go be careful and make sure to lock your cars and not to leave any valuables in eye shot. As I said before we got our limit in bout 10mins and someone had tried to pop the lock on my old mans ute with a screwdriver
  12. My old man and I got 300 each in less than 10mins they are really thick at the moment, easy when youre a gun twister
  13. I buy from whoever down south will give me a good deal, even BCF I will not however be returning to a certain store located at the beginning of victor harbor rd. There is a new owner there who was nothing short of rude and arragant with no intentions of helping me out, after telling my mates of this experience I don't think he will have there business either. Fair few lost bob there, here i was thinking you would want to get to know your customers and be helpful like all the other stores in the area are, anglers choice and fishing wholesalers.
  14. Not quite as light as you boys but got an 82cm on 10lb mainline and 20lb leader on Tierra 2500, matched to a berkley drops hot 2-5kg the other week.
  15. All done mate would love to hear about your finding when youre done
  16. i think he may even be a member of this forum
  17. I think youll find that the guy who runs the site (unsure of name sorry) lives around the Morphett Vale area, and im sure he wouldnt mind pickup as it would save him the hassle of posting aswell. As Sambo said shoot him an email and you will soon get an answer
  18. There are plenty of mullet about atm, try anywhere from southport right around to cape jervis.. As for bait you could try a mullet mix made from mince, aniseed, curry powder etc. or the humble goolwa cockle will also give you good results, and dont get tricked into trying to cast too far either the mullet will sit in close.. good luck mc
  19. thanks for that tt im going to head back to the tackle store after work tommorow to get a few more packs of plastics i will grab some if i can find themcheers midcoast
  20. Thanks for the advice guys, I'm going to head to the tackle store after work and grab a selection of gulp! and squidgies.. I would be stoked to land a nice red on a plastic, so here's hoping I can mimic your photo.. Can't wait to get over there and get stuck into it :)Thanks again, midcoast
  21. Hey all! I am heading to Arno in a couple weeks time and was Going to fill up a box of plastics.. As it will be my first time out chasing snapper I just thought I would put the question out there, what are the favorites?
  22. Hey guys have just purchased a new rod and reel combo for chasing mullies with soft plastics and hard bodies, was after any helpful info into which sp or hb lures people use, and what sort of retrieve to use with them?Any info more than welcome!Cheers
  23. hey guys does anyone know wether he is a member on strike & hook as i was also trying to get hold of him, but got no response?? was wanting to find out if he was ok with pick up as it would save on $8.50 of postage, which when your only looking at 2 lures is the difference between it being worth while or not..Cheers
