mate you have great taste just like me LOL since i posted the first post i have done plenty of research and come to the concusion that its a must when i work up the money not far away now LOL. how did you go mate i got 2 big lads on the friday and 4 on the saturday if i ad of read your post i would have caught up with ya and showed you around . I did fish the illusion but im sure you would have done alright if you could bare the wind. lol

Ay there so whos keen to get out and about and chase the big reds around . I personly cant wait the count down is on . Anybody keen to share where they are heading just in general as we all know we aint going to give those spots way unless they are well known. Any way we are heading down to the usual spots out from Broughton like the 44 Footers, Sanannerana ( not sure on the spelling ) and good old faithful the Illusion. We will keep the other spots for when the crowds die down other wise they will be fished out . lol

so does the balloon bust when the fish strikes and runs ? is there a certain type of knot to be tying the balloon on with ?

guysi have never used the balloons before but i have seen it done can somebody explain how to rig a setup so i can understand how its used. i do have an idea but thought id just ask the people in the know.

ay mate sounds like fun , from my experiences that will keep you flat out, whitting in the morning tide and hit the beaches for the afternoon tide. Thats what i normaly do, at Mt Camel me mate always hits the best whole on the beach while I try and fish the rocks to the left on the main beach. There is a big gutter that runs back along the beach and out. 9 times out of 10 i will catch a few big ones in there before he has any. ay guys just looking for any info reguarding Drifting for Squid. I went out after work today a local spot and drifted in the in comming tide for some squid . Managed to snag 12 medium sized squid. It was very calm and you could see the Squid stalking the jig in about 10 to 15 foot of water a truly amazing sight, they were even attacking each other to get to to jig. Awsume sight. Just wondering if any one would like to share their experiences in doing this ?

well everybody wants to be a comedian dont they. who would have throught there were so many fish related to silvers. Any way i was talking about silver whiting. I would like to report that i ended up with my quota some up to 36cm in little over 2 hours. Covered about a 300m section of a local beach out of Port Pirie using good old cockles .

heading out to try one of my local spots for silvers in the morning tide 2morrow. Just wondering if anyone would like to share any info on catching silvers like baits times rigs etc
