Anyone have any experience with maxus outboards are they any good or not

Thanks guysI am thinking of heading over that way for a month in July (not the best fishing time Ive been told, well for barra at least) Going to do the gibb river road and up to mitchell falls, bungles, hoping to spend a few nights in broome and maybe travel up to cape lequve if we have time. Any advice on these areas or any others I should be considering would be awesome

sounds good crusherany tips on where to fish or crab there? Is there jetty for crab pots or is more suited to raking ? And most importantly is there a pub in town ?

Hi all thinking of going up to st kilda area to rake some crabs which i never done before hoping i can get some tips on what to look for, what sort of tides are best etc ... and does anyone know if you camp any where there? Someone suggested boat ramp for camping ? Any info would be great ! Thanks in advance

Thanks for advice guys still undecided as what to do will have to check the weather as it gets closer. I had never heard of it either found it in a camping site book. Was looking for somewhere close to go camping where I could wet a line and camp on the water so when Ive had to many I can still fish without having to leave the comfort of my camp chair and fire. Anyone got other suggestions of good fishing / camping sites close by that are worth a crack?

Thinking of heading down the mouth from Goolwa end with the trailer for a few days camping. Have not been there in ages anyone have any tips on what works best, where fishes best ect. Anyone been down there and caught anything recently. and are the seal furs spoiling the fishing there. Any help would be good.

Squid for sure, I like to fish the old jetty there still if the fence is still climbable. Maybe a few tommies or gar

Hey mate I agree head to tackle store, BCF Tackleworld, you should be able to get a good combo for under a $100 shimano, okuma, penn are all good options if you tell them what sort of fishing you are planning on they will be able to guide you. If you are going squidding would strongly suggest you get a white and red jag and a pink one as I have found they are by far the successful colours.

Not sure if there is a way to tell or not. However once the squid or cuttlefish spawn they go off and die so I call it a fair feed regardless of eggs.

Hi fellas, Grape picking has finally come to an end and I'm ready to get some muched missed fishing in this weekend around cape jervis, rapid bay area. Am going in my brothers boat (4.8 m deep hulled tinny) planning on launching at either jervis or wirrina, was hoping someone might have a few tips on what we should be targetting once with have enough squid for a feed ? Are there any snapper around? Whiting? Gummy sharks ? What direction should we be heading ? are pretty new to the whole boat thing usally stock up on squid but thought a change might be good ? Not looking for your gps marks but

Think the reason you cant get advice is because you are clearly a losser and know one wants to turn up to fish there spots to find they have to put up with fishing with someone like you. Get a life I have found everyone on the strike hook to be very helpful.

Gavin Solly at KI fishing adventures runs a awesome setup and is a really nice bloke as well. His is the best charter I've been on too. If your mates dont want to stay out on the boat overnight the other option is at Marion bay cant think of the name but is the one with the 3 big boats, he runs 2 or 3 day charters out of wedge island and you sleep in accomdation on the island at night and can fish of the island when you are not out on the boat !!! My brother did this one and said it was awesome

If you are going around to rapid bay try drifting about 20m of shore from jetty to the head rather than 100m out for squid we do much better in close. If you find any areas good for whiting or snapper in close let me know because I've been looking for the same sort of grounds but always seem to get rock cod and other rubbish fish

My 4 year old was playing my mates rod which he said he could pull it in as we were not catching anything poor little bugger struggled for around 45 mins trying to wind it in as we laughed and drank beer, saying he really is making a big job of this thinking it must of been the grapple sinker giving him curry then he started screaming i got a fish I got a fish only to find he had just pulled in a 75 cm shovel nosed shark, pretty goood effort we thought for a 4 year old

Hi all,planning a trip to beach near port vincent as I havn't been there I was wondering what might the best things to target in the area other than the ever faithful squid. Any adice wold be great.

Sound like complete tools to me !!! Why fish the jetties when you have a boat , isn't that why you buy a boat so you can fish new grounds you couldn't get to already
