  1. Hahaha. Sorry Dan' date=' you'll have to stop in at your local tackle shop mate!! Haven't tried yet' date=' i did go a few times with the intention of squidding but ended up getting side tracked fishing. A monday sickie is looking good Gimbles[/quote'']Ha! I actually meant I might head out and catch some myself Good luck if you get out on Monday.
  2. How'd you go Grimbles? I need some Snapper/Whiting bait!
  3. Hi Gimbles, we usually do ok by starting around Semmy reef and drifting towards North Haven. Usually in 6-8metres of water.
  4. I saw the guy (Lee?) do that on adventure bound a couple of weeks ago I reckon.
  5. I've been using it for snapper too. Am I pushing my luck King Ralph?
  6. For snelling I have been using this basic but hasn't let go yet!
  7. Nothing will ever beat the battered KG Whiting caught out at the Group served with homemade chips by my grandma when I was a kid. Still love KGs usually with a calamari entre. Simple I know...God I love this state!
  8. I've heard the same particularly with Snapper. My mate insists on waiting until we are a loooong way from our snapper drops before we gut them and throw it over.
  9. I checked BOM for thunderstorm warnings on Saturday before we headed out locally because it was northeasterly and there were warnings further north but nothing for here. Does anyone remember the squall a few weeks back? One of the gusts recorded at the black pole was 54kts!! What would you do if you were caught in that?Dan
  10. What was the target fish for SA last year bjorn2fish?
  11. Funny isn't it: If someone walked through the Serengeti in Africa and were attacked by a Lion we'd call them an idiot. Similar thing happens with a White Pointer and people want it killed...
  12. Not bad for squid either!http://www.strikehook.com/forum/27-boat-fishing/164498-dodge-tide-and-squid
