  1. Cheers lads, Going to get a 2500 certate even though its another 200 more. I used one yesterday and it was one of the smoothest reels I have used.
  2. Cheers mate for the quick feedback! Daiwa just seem to be better in the spin reel section then shimano?
  3. Hey fellahs, just wondering what people think is better the daiwa sol II 2004? Or the shimano sustain in a 2500?Any feedback or reviews would be great!Cheers SamN
  4. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-08-15/super-trawler-debate/4200114say they are gonna consider both sides, urm seems pretty one sided to me, people just dont understand where we are coming from etc. The whole idea really was a joke

  6. Hey guys, Heres another link: http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/lifestyle/federal-government-allows-massive-super-trawler-to-fish-in-australian-waters/story-e6frf00i-1226387965265In my opinion this again is the government and a bunch of people that have never seen sunlight in there life sitting behind a computer screen or phone doing dodgey buisness transactions.... But dont worry we need marine parks coz guys its us recs that are ruining the snapper industry.... MMMMMM government hey, if you could walk up and say something to one of them im sure itd be along the line of some
  7. Gonna have to agree with Rollas here (knows his stuff), after using my old luvais for some good snapper with him, i guess i will just get the new one and pair it with the gloomis tournament rod his advice has always been correct so far haha Cheers for the input everyone muchly apreciated!
  8. Cheers FellahsNarrowed the option down to two reels the certae and the stradic, Ci4... At the moment slightly leaing towards the stradic, and will place this on a gloomis tournament rod or similar if all goes to plan, will mainly be used for callop and small murray cod in the up coming months...Cheers for your help, tight lines SamN
  9. Gday all, Just on the marker for a new spin reel in the near future size 2500, any opinions on the best out there? Is it worth getting an up market Stella? or do the Stradic Ci4's compete just as well? Cheers SamN

  13. haha Southie, well ill be waiting on the invite from you and jimbo and ill show, i must call him, been hard keeping in contact with u's after getting rid of the old fb...
  14. Urm tbh with you, the fly im am unaware of the type, it was just a few small beads stuck together with gliter on them, and it was caught on a sinking leader or so i am told. And as for the private land part, we fished mostly private land but the trout was caught in a creek leading into the private property.Cheers SamN
  15. haha yeah will be for sure jumped a number of flies and i lost a much bigger one to a snag earlier in the day...yeah the Americans are a bit bizzare haha, you would have seen pics from the day on FB but its deactivated now so i cant upload them, the old man caught some thumping redfin as well!
  16. Gday all,Went for a fish a couple days back with the old man to a spot near my uncles house... Managed to catch my firt rainbow trout on the fly.. Let me say it is definately a fun form of fishing and casting is not as hard as it seems watching others. Mind you i have spent a number of hours casting a small split shot at an icecream container down at my local park. Im very new to this form of fishing and yes i do realise that the line was spooled on backwards, as the fly rod and reel came from america. But was also wondering if it is just the Americans that wind the reel towards them? Instead

  21. Mate, were not supporting the violence at all, nothing is going to happen when we are over normanville this weekend. @Ale sand does cause a problem mate, having said that your other points are spot on about the laws that is very well said indeed. It should be a chilled weekend and we are fishing off of a beach named "X" so we are not even going to be near any locals and that. Do you think we are gonna go out of our way to cause trouble, no. Why the hell would I want to screw it up for everyone mate? This is an issue that should be tackled properly when the time is right. I agree with what a lot
