IMHO without a doubt its Jaxsons. Two nice sized holes out the front, plus you aren't sharing with anyone else - unless of course people come along in quads. Its reasonably sheltered and only a quick slide down one small dune to the beach...Its the only beach our crew pulled Snapper from, and we've got plenty of big Mulloway and sharks from right in front of the campsite...

Heading down on Sunday for a pretty casual session. Will report when I return...

Nothing at all... just not sure I'd eat fish from shallow water that is full of mud and slime a lot of the time.. hence why I don't eat fish from the Murray....What's wrong with brackish water?

Never seen much caught at the boat ramp, but plenty on plastics and hard bodies in the channel by boat... not a big Bream fisherman myself, don't find them very exciting to catch, but definitely worth exploring the whole of Mundoo Channel up to the barrage to find the Bream if your keen on them... not sure I'd be eating them in there though.... is very brackish water a lot of the time....

Yep... problem with the wind most of the weekend was it was a North Westerly which isn't good for Salmon fishing - the dirty old south westerlies are the ones!

Yep - on a very ordinary one - was in our bait bag for three days at Yalata...

Trying to get down there myself in a few weeks time - been a few years since i last ventured down there!

I've got carpet and I love it. Quick squirt down with the high pressure hose and a bit of suds everytime I get home and never have any issues!I have seen guys with fake grass instead of carpet - thats what I'll be doing next time!! Doesn't hold heat like carpet does!

I got the email from Johno probably 5-6 weeks ago, so I think those who it was targetted at did have a little more notification. But yes, if anyone is interested I still suggest making contact as there may be another round or at least a delay.

I've seen a lot of guys cast and it really concerns me...I always hold the bail arm when I cast... Maybe its just me but it feels comfortable and I always worry about it springing back over - the only time i don't do this is surf casting, but i ain't lobbing $25 lures into the surf!

Got this forwarded to me awhile ago and something I am definitely interested in, but the timing of the course is poor for me.Professional development and getting involved in the community is very high on my priorities at the moment, but the timing is just not good where work is heading at this point in time.

Yeah the old body can let you down. Remember missing a Cobby Callop Classic when I put my back out - stopped me from fishing for about 3-4 months!Hope you get better soon Joe!!

Easily confused there mate' date=' They do look similar, just be careful you dont keep any less then the 21cm size limit. IMO you probably should keep Tommies less than that anyway, no point, no meat and if you are using them as squid bait they are also too small.Good catch though[/quote']Too small?? My local fish monger actually sells small tommies specifically for squid bait... I prefer my tommies smaller for squid bait...

Are you serious netman21?? Can't say I've ever seen any pots in the Coorong which seems to be what you are saying?

Yeah... what offer is this??

Agree with CARL - I don't think flashing lights can be a good thing!

Pretty sure there are options to get an online version of the magazine... Can't remember whether it was Wild Coast or SA Angler but I am sure I have heard at least one if not both can be in online format.

Before yesterday I would've said it would be a toss up between Callop on the Murray and Squidding anywhere. But after getting into the Mulloway yesterday my first choice of fishing now will be soaking pillies in the Coorong!!Mulloway have always been the holy grail for me, and catching them yesterday in numbers was a dream come true!!

Someone walking along casting a lure I can handle - so long as they are smart enough not to interfere with my lines. Setting up with a rod holder would be a sensible distance - at least 100m or more - I would feel rude setting up any closer.@ Yorky - I reckon that is about the time I would start berleying like crazy - or let them know that you had hooks bitten off by a shark not long prior!

I'd like to see the face of the dude holding it. Not convinced! And land based ya reckon?' date=' Brocko, you pulling our legs?[/quote']Would have to agree with you nickmav... Seems a bit odd the photo to me... The fish in the photo looks very dry and in very poor condition and looks more like something you would find washed up on the beach than one that has been caught... I'd like to see some better photos...

Take the boat!!! You won't get into trouble unless you try and drive out the mouth... Buckley loads of mullet down there and plenty of school mulloway too!!

My mate has a pro rocket - i got it for him at the original fishermans paradise at thier closing down sale the first time for about $120. It casts magnificently better than the normal ones....
